      I think it’s great! When I was in school my favourite subject was physics because I enjoyed learning about how the world works – understanding thing like how boats float or planes fly. Now as an engineer solving difficult problems is my full-time job.

      It is great, especially when you get to see your work being applied in the real world.

    It’s great to work as part of a team. To work out a problem with the team, bounce ideas off each other why something isn’t working the way you’d like it to, and how to best fix it. It’s great to have that sense of achievement when you’ve completed a new system release, or when you have found & fixed a bug that was causing someone a problem.
    If you go down the research route, there’s that same sense of achievement when you work on a solution to a challenging problem that results in some saving for the environment. Especially if your work results in input to standards or as recommendations added to the code of conduct for your industry across the EU.
