STEM subjects are important because they teach us how our world works and the technology we develop to make our lives better. Also, they teach us to think critically, question everything and apply logic in our work. They are important because they help us have an accurate understanding of the world so we’re less likely to be fooled when we hear things that don’t make sense with what we’ve learnt based on evidence from science. STEM subjects also open doors to lots of jobs that you can’t do without that specific knowledge. Engineering and science jobs require STEM but some other jobs also benefit from STEM like medicine, finance and business.

Especially in todays world, with the dawn of the age of information, STEM education is extremely important. from a young age all students need to be well informed of the concepts of STEM to understand the ways of the universe.

It’s great to get exposure to STEM while your in school so you can work out what you enjoy doing and see the opportunities that are available to you. I also think it’s important that we understand how the world around us works, like were does electricity come from or how is my car powered? If more people knew the science behind some of these technologies maybe we wouldn’t have the problems we have today.
