Question: How does your job help the enviroment stay clean and green everday

There are 2 parts to my research:
1. Since the amount of wind energy is increasing in Ireland, there is an amount of it that is also wasted when the demand for electricity and the time when wind blows is not always synchronized. I look at how to efficiently store this renewable electricity through a technology called Power-to-Gas
2. In a carbon neutral future, there will still be sectors that may need gas to meet its demand (like power generation, high heat demand in industries). So I am looking at which sectors will still depend on gas, and how we can meet this with renewables.
