      Yes, they are good for the environment. they do not cause spot pollution. In the future when we have renewable electricity it will be even cleaner to use electricity for fuels.

      Electric trains are great for the environment compared to buses and cars because trains are the most efficient form of public transport and electricity can be produced cleanly.
