Oxygen on its own is clean, what we need is to lower the amount of CO2. the reason is, By volume, dry air contains 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. With burning of fossil fuels and releasing other pollutants in the air, we are messing up this balance in our atmosphere which sustains life.

Lowering other emissions is the key to healthy atmosphere.
