      Curiosity about how things work and openness to different solutions from what we’ve always done have always helped me.

      An interest and aptitude in maths, science and technology really helps too. A lot of people can be engineers who just didn’t think of it though. There’s so much variety and types of engineering like chemical, mechanical, materials, energy, biomedical, civil, structural, pharmaceutical, electric and electronic. If you like problem solving one could definitely fit for you.

      An interest in how the world works and an ability to solve problems, being good a math is one of the key skills as most of engineering still involves a lot of math

      Good skills in mathematics, you cannot escape mathematics as an engineer. Just like any profession you need a passion or goal to chase. This will make your life a lot more meaningful.
