Probably around 14, once I started learning about physics in school and did a bit of work on my granda’s farm I quickly realised I enjoyed understanding how the world worked and solving problems. Originally I wanted to be a chemical engineer like my dad but later as I heard and read more about climate change and how we were damaging the world around us, I decided the only job I would be happy doing was energy engineering.

I finally made my decision to be an engineer at 18, when I had to pick a college and a course, but i think ever since i was 10, I loved building things, and when i made my first paper recycling process, i knew i wanted to do something in designing processes. 🙂
A lot of chemical engineering involves designing processes.
