• Question: Besides plastic what things are really bad for the environment

      The worst thing for the environment is burning fossil fuels like oil, natural gas, coal or peat in order to get energy for heat in our homes or to drive our cars.

      Carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases and particulate matter in air pollution are all really bad for the environment. Some of these can even cause acid rain and affect our water. Overuse of pesticides kills lots of friendly insects like bees and damages biodiversity too.

      Disposing industrial wastes into the land, air, and water without treating them properly. This leads to a wide array of problems. Bleaching of coral reefs being a particularly concerning one int he oceans, global warming, and acid rain and groundwater pollution.
